I don't know how many Cambridge people read this 'ere journal, but anyway. I want to plug Chris' Bikes I took my bike to his shop on monday (by taxi), and asked him if he could build me a new wheel round the dynamo hub. He said he'd try, but that he doesn't do many wheels, so didn't have much of the necessary stuff in stock. He leant me a bicycle for a few days while he had a go, and I went back today.

It turns out he doesn't have a rim that would fit my hub and spokes, so he's taken them out, and leant me a new front wheel, so I can take the hub and spokes to Ben Haywards in town and get a new wheel built. All of this for no charge. He's great - that sort of service that you used to be able to expect but is sadly rare these days. I can highly recommend him.
