Well, the end of retreat anyway :-)
Retreat was a Good Thing, but I'll cover it in more detail in a separate entry assuming I have time in the near future.
Since being back, I have done a lot of tedious domestic stuff, played a fair amount of scrabble and various card games, and made food for people. Oh, and went ringing on Friday night, and rang a touch of Cambridge correctly, which was good.
On Tuesday, I have a very scary interview for the Phd place - two people from the research group, the director of research at CUVS, and the director of postgraduate studies at CUVS. If that's not a scary interview-panel of doom, I don't know what is; I think I'll wear a suit...
Tommorow I'm off bright and early to do data entry at Whipsnade, so then hopefully I can actually start my elective project. Driving with a buggered achilles tendon may be fun, however...
