I'm rather stuck in limbo this morning. I got up at a sensible hour (despite being somewhat insomniac last night, and not getting to sleep until gone 2.30), have packed my little rucksac (no need for hold luggage), and am now ready. Except even given my paranoid approach to arriving at airports, I have no need to leave Foundation until 1pm. So here I am, all packed and good to go, and I've got another two hours to kill.

I'm going to the Trani film festival, to give a 20-minute talk on the TS, of which I am a trustee. Apparantly, they'll want me to be one of the GoH at dinner tommorow, too. Which sounds quite good, except I don't really feel like I *ought* to be GoH, simply because I happen to be a trustee of some random educational charity. Oh well.

atreic rang this morning, which was unexpected, and a lovely suprise. She's really great. It's a pity I won't speak to her again until Sunday. Still, I should get used to it - she's going round Eastern Europe and the US for a fortnight each later in the summer, and I guess she'll be completely incommunicado then.

Still, I have Friendly to keep me company in .it.
