Good things and bad things today.

Bad things include the fact that we can only view 2 of the three houses we wanted to this afternoon (one of them hasn't finished being sold (!)), and that it's fscking hot.

Good things include the fact that my letter to atreic made it to Venice OK, and she had no idea is was going to be there :-) :-). Also, I have a new espresso/steam machine, which is very shiny.

Also, I ordered two books from The Tablet's bookshop, which I think confused them a little:
"The Daily Telegraph Guide to Christian Marriage and to Getting Married in Church"
and
"A Question of Truth: Christianity and homosexuality"

:-)

Going off to see a place in Girton this evening. The landlady is showing us round, and since she really wanted professionals (so the Agency said), claroscuro and I are going to smarten up a bit. Which of course means the landlord will be fine, but the house will be completely unsuitable.

Well, here's hoping...
