Note to HSBC

Shutting your branches early bad
Allowing people to pay-in using an ATM good
Failing to fill said ATM with the envelopes they will need to so do REALLY ANNOYING

Yeah, I always found that annoying. I thought it only happened on sunday when I tried. I never dared try it with a different envelope, though I did start getting a spare when they had one and keeping it against need.

As long as they have the facility there in place then that's all they're interested in. Can sell you an account based on the facility that way...

...and you'll never know about the lack of envelopes until it's all too late!
