We had port last CTS pancakes, so obviously traditional now... to be fair, I think it'd be a little weird but hopefully a pleasant surprise anywhere else.
I'm intending to take PX sherry to molly pancakes tonight (for use as a filling rather than a drink though - it's supposed to be nice on vanilla ice cream), so why not port?

Mead would probably be too sickly.
I'd actually be tempted to stick to a large glass of milk and go for the booze afterwards.
