Since early afternoon yesterday, my ears have been misbehaving, in a manner that's a little tricky to describe. I originally thought there was just something odd in the air-conditioning - it sounds a little like low-frequency pressure pulses. There's a background noise all the time, but unlike tinnitus which I've had on odd occasions before (which was quite high-pitched ringing in the ears) this is low-intensity low-pitched, maybe like the wind (only low frequency) or the sound you sometimes hear if you put a seashell to your ear.
Other sounds are superimposed, so I don't think I'm failing to hear things (except that very quiet noises may get drowned out); also, it seems lessened when I'm lying down, and varies from room to room somewhat (my office seems worse than some other bits of the building).
I don't have a sore throat or anything, and it's bilateral, which is confusing, and a little concerning. FTTB, I just wanted to try and record what I'm perceiving, for future reference.
