This food meme is vaguely entertaining (despite being a little US-centric in places). The author considers these to be things every omnivore should have tried at least once. The idea is to bold ones you've eaten, and strike-through those you'd not consider eating.

1. Venison - mmm :)
2. Nettle tea - at some re-enactment thing, IIRC.
3. Huevos rancheros
4. Steak tartare - just a little of [livejournal.com profile] atreic's. It was OK.
5. Crocodile - because I was surprised to see it on the menu. Not worth eating, IMAO.
6. Black pudding - Stornoway black pudding is great :)
7. Cheese fondue
8. Carp
9. Borscht
10. Baba ghanoush
11. Calamari - I'm not a great fan of this, as it tends to be rubbery.

14. Aloo gobi
15. Hot dog from a street cart
16. Epoisses

68. Haggis - one of those "only eat good ones" foods ;)
69. Fried plantain
70. Chitterlings, or andouillette

72. Caviar and blini - I've had roe of some sorts, and it's too damn salty.
73. Louche absinthe

100. Snake

So I've had 51 of the listed items. It seems rather selective in the choice of cuisines represented, to say the least!
