I actually wrote to the Church Times today.

is the cover in question, which is apparantly offensive. The caption, if you can't read it is "happy couple... ...unhappy 17 million; how a ga Canadian couple has upset the province of Nigeria".

Sir,
I was surprised when reading the letters in the 13th June edition of
the Church Times to notice two readers declaring the front cover of
the previous edition "offensive". Having re-examined it, I find it
hard to see what the problem is. Here are two men in smart suits
holding hands - you might find a similar picture of myself and my
brother in the family album somewhere.
Whatever your opinion on the rights or wrongs of the Vancouver
blessing, it is certainly a significant event, and I would have been
disappointed had the Church Times not had something to say upon the
matter. The issues surrounding the Christian response to homosexuality
are complex indeed, and demand careful and prayerful reflection, not
knee-jerk reactions.
