Arse

Arse. My nice 17" monitor has died. It was working, then I left the room and came back, and it won't power on any more :-(

So I'm currently using Sally's ancient 14" which will do 640x480 but nothing better :-(

[apparantly, it used to be attached to a computer which ran a lace-making factory in the 1990s...]

I have a spare old Iiyama 17" you can have for 35 quid. Email me if you're interested.

So, it's plugged in, yes?

What OS? 'cos if it's something that lets you specify frequencies, I've got a 21" Sun monitor you can have along with a D-to-5BNC adapter cable, for £20 or so (setting it up will involve the gentle use of a screwdriver; see http://www.ff-net.demon.nl/hitachi/)

Have you seen that the History faculty has 15" monitors going free?
