A bit of experimentation suggests that it's my long sentances that have put my grade score so high :-/

Quite possibly. I run all my fics through the WordPro reading ease tests, and the ones with a lot of words per sentence do score higher.
It uses about 4 different reading ease tests, so it's quite fun to compare. Apparently I write like an eighth-grader, though :)

I fear that this analyzer fails to take into account that fact that the ability to write really long and rambling sentances with multisyllabled words in them is not neccessarilly strictly corolated with the ability to write intelligently, maturely and above all entertaningly.
