Early Music Hour - Extended Edition!

CUR1350 is running its vacation schedule, so I have a new time-slot for the next few weeks.

Starting this wednesday, 6-8pm, 1350MW or online via CUR1350.

The first hour will be the usual Early Music Hour format, but the second hour I'm going to play more of a mixed bag from my classical music collection.

Talking of which, something you might be interested in. I turned the radio on in the middle of a programme the other day when a guy was talking about the uniquely gnostic theophonic nature of Mozart's music, and I thought to myself, what about Taverner? At the end it turned out it was Tavener who was speaking!

Those In The Know diss Taverner consistently. I remember reading a recent and hilarious Times review by ?Barry Millington? which was a wonderfully sustained piece of polemic.
