I'm off visiting my parents this weekend. This is made more doom by the rear-view mirror having fallen off again between the last time I drove the car and this morning :-(

Oh, is there a better way of having non-breaking hyphens in LaTeX than \hbox{foo-bar}? SNB

I've wondered that myself. I had a quick Google and found this, which is interesting in itself, and gives the same approach.

I wrote a letter to my landlord in LaTeX about 3 weeks ago :-)

Perfectly reasonable choice. That's what \documentclass[a4paper]{letter} is there for, after all...
