Friday went a bit better. bolshevik.vet.cam.ac.uk is now installed, and mostly-patched (so turned off for the weekend!); the installation didn't go too badly, but I'm aware of a lot of things I need to do (install exim, set up hardware mirroring, understand the
antinomy, F@H will have to wait a few more days yet!
Today I've been at a VDS-organised seminar for my year at Cambridge. It's very strange being at a reunion in a department at which you still work! Also, a lot of the material, whilst interesting, was aimed at people in general practice, so I don't feel I contributed much. I did get to button-hole the BVA president, who pointed me at the AVTRW, which I shall probably join. There's a dinner at Girton this evening (black tie, not "smart casual", as advertised). People are meeting nowish in the Maypole for cocktails, but I don't feel like going into town just to come back again. I just hope they're not too drunk by the start of dinner, or it won't be much fun...
Tommorow will be chapel, lunch somewhere, and then a try-dive with CUUEG - should be a bit of fun!
