Today was a day off, to do some shopping.

It started badly with me being late out of the house for lunch, detouring to my office to pick up books for [livejournal.com profile] atreic including having to explain to people that I was having the day off, despite being in the office, thus being even later for lunch, and then discovering that I'd left my wallet at home, so having to cycle home for it. It had indeed fallen out of my pannier, and was hiding under the chair I'd had my pannier on whilst loading it.

Then I went to try and buy trousers. This was a very frustrating experience. I don't want jeans, nor expensive designer trousers at 60UKP a pair, nor very smart trousers that look like they should be worn as part of a suit, not courdroys (sp?), nor trousers with turnups, nor flares, just nice simple hard-wearing casual trousers. I achieve partial success in the end, however. I took the opportunity to do a bit of other-stuff shopping, too.

Now am I just tired.

I always find that Burton's (in the Grafton Center) do well for my trouser needs. YMMV, of course.
