In other news, I bought a garklein. It's very silly.

It is the recorder smaller than the sopranino and is a C one (like the descant and tenor). I've seen one once (although I seem to remember that being referred to as a kleiner sopranino).

This site about recorders tells you a bit about it

I call my sopranino 'baby' because it is compared to the others. The sopranino is the same size as the bass foot joint! That is the same length, it's considerably smaller in diameter.
