Today has largely been spent restoring the state of the house after yesterday's searching.

Also, I discovered why my windoze box misbehaved - one of the fans is buggered:

I think that's the Northbridge, and that getting replacement fans with the right connector will be almost impossible (oh, and that the motherboard may be fried anyway).

So, not a great day, really. Still, I had a pleasant evening with atreic, and my parents are visiting tomorrow (after the tienelle-chess wedding) to buy me lunch, and go punting.
