I don't often update LJ from work at this time of day! I'm making an effort to be around during "normal" office hours for the next week in case my passport turns up, thus ensuring something different will go wrong...

Also shockingly, I'm making quite good progress with the Tolkien 2005 proof-reading. The theology of one of the articles is Just Plain Wrong (and it asserts that the feast of the transfiguration is celebrated at the beginning of Lent, which is an error of fact); maybe I should write a letter to Amon Hen and ask for it to be embargoed until the proceedings are published? :)

Finally, since sain_bano is stealing my lovely wife this evening, does anyone fancy a little gentle Mao? If so, comment here, and I'll achieve organisation a bit later...
