I've had the same userpic ever since I started my LJ.

stephdairy has very kindly cleaned up the picture somewhat, but I find myself strangely unwilling to change from the "original". So, I thought I'd see what you all thought :)

The top line balances the picture somehow - the base of the picture is pretty much flat, so why shouldn't the top be?

It looks odd with the top (and bottom to some extent) 'framed', but not the sides.

I think the "dodgy photocopy" effect kind of goes with the linedrawing style for some reason.

I reckon cleaning up the image doesnt look as good.

Got it from a search using www.a9.com just for images and the string phoenix bird

I prefer the cleaned-up image, simply because it's cleaner and doesn't have a massive line across the top.
