Well, the SU bar has a real ale on tap, but it wasn't on this evening, which meant I was stuck with Newcy Brown for the evening. Still, via a nice illustration of Grannoveter's theory of weak ties I found myself sat round a table with 2 Italians and a German girl who sounded half-American. Still, quite a pleasant evening, even if the UK-people are in a striking minority across the Summer School. I think I'll give the pub-crawl a miss tommorow...
