I planned a set for the combined part of [livejournal.com profile] damerell, [livejournal.com profile] mobbsy, and [livejournal.com profile] lnr. Early Music wasn't really the order of the day, so I went for a more rock/goth/silly set, to counteract the indie might of some of the other DJs (and because I like it ;):

Rammstein - Reise, Reise
Queen - Hammer to Fall
Killing Miranda - Burn Sinister
Hawkwind - Quark, Strangeness & Charm
Nickelback - How You Remind Me
New Model Army - Vengence
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Star Industry - Nineties
Apocalyptica - Master of Puppets
Queen - Tutti Frutti (live at Wembley, '86)
Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love (extended version)
Rammstein - Rein Raus
Horatii - Riposte
Puressence - Traffic Jam on Memory Lane
Apocalyptica - Hall of the Mountain King

That was roughly the set as I planned it, and it seemed to go down quite well, although maybe the novelty tracks were just a bit too silly. I also ended up doing the last half hour or so, which I hadn't really prepared for other than by bringing a pile of CDs. It went roughly:

Apocalytpica - Prologue (Apprehension)
Queen - Another One Bites the Dust
Queen - Don't Stop Me Know (request)
Rammstein - Mutter
Queen - Who Wants to Live Forever (requested as the final track)

I was told during Mutter that I could have one final track, so played the requested one.

In any case, it was great fun to DJ, and a great night out. I hope others enjoyed my sets too :)

That sounds like an amazing set!

Though I confess I never quite 'got' Rammstein. They've always seemed too disturbing and visceral for my personal taste...

_Ballad of Torrens Street_ - are you sure? Someone played _Burn Sinister_ and I thought that was you.

No, I'm not sure - I was going to play hatred, but changed my mind at the last minute, and didn't make a note of what I did play.

I'll go and listen to Burn Sinister in a bit, and see if that jogs my memory.

On reflection, I think you're right. I'll correct the list.
