On Friday, there were carols chez sion_a. I wasn't in great singing form, but growled along singing bass, with a bit of reasonable recorder-playing and bad piano-playing thrown in for good measure. There was some good port, many mince pies, and good company, which made for a fine evening. Saturday saw the (late) arrival of Theathon, which was a meeting of CTS types - we faffed, lunched, drank, saw Narnia, and then retired to the Zebra; I drifted home not long afterwards, and chatted to atreic and a visiting piqueen when they got home. I spent most of Sunday in LSM or the Grad Pad, which was eminently agreeable. Last night was Christmas dinner at the Carlton, where I stuffed myself on Christmassy food and had a very sensible amount to drink.

This has all been good. It's not all plain sailing, though. I've got an annoying lurgy - my throat is sore in a general-scratchy-ouch sort of way, and is associated with a "ticky" cough, which has been keeping me awake for the last few nights, which means I'm not very with it at work, which is doing my trying-to-catch-up plans no good at all :-(

I've decided to go and spend some time with my parents between Christmas and New Year anyway, as the idea of not seing them at all was just too sucky; I'll probably take some work with me.
