I would just like to state this: Theo de Raadt is an arrogant, underhand arsehole. Remember the ssh "bug" that we (==Debian) were told was immenent and doom-laden, and how we were blackmailed into upgrading to 3.3, despite the fact that it broke lots of things?

Well, the bug doesn't affect the Debian ssh packages *at all*. So we're stuck with cruddy packages stuck into both woody and potato, and I'm going to have to make a fuss to get the good 3.0.2 package released in woody (though at least the release manager is allowing me to make the decision). All because TdR can't run a proper vulnerability fixing process. Bastard

In other other news, K managed to fall and knock her head last night, so was in Addies waiting to be checked over this afternoon instead of seeing me :-(

The one plus of today is that I have CD_R now. it plays things OK< will try burning something later...

Can you get them to post on an official site that the bug doesn't effect debian?

It's a little academic now - the first announcement was factually incorrect, and a later CERT advisory included more vulnerabilities which are harder (and not known to be possible) to exploit, which do affect Debian
