I can get chocolate flavoured beer.
I can't get beer flavoured chocolate.
Which is probably fortunate.

Youngs double chocolate stout! Very tasty!

I can enjoy chocolate endlessly with only long-term health problems. Attempting to do the same with beer leads to falling over, too drunk to drink, and still has long-term health issues. So, it's a difficult call, but chocolate has it.

Is this where I admit I don't actually like beer - cider is fine, but beer just doesn't taste good.

Chocolate on the other hand...

There are lots of other non-beer drinks which I love and which make reasonable alternatives. Not so many for chocolate - caramac is the closest, and is nice but I'd still miss chocolate more I think.

Just what I was going to say: there is no substitute for chocolate!

Put me in the non-beer basket too. (Cider's fine, though.)

But then I like white chocolate instead of rejecting it as the work of $ANTIDEITY, so I'm several kinds of wicked heathen here.

I must be weird. I could go without chocolate indefinitely (it's alright, nice I suppose, but not something I crave) but to deprive me of beer would be a terrible thing!

Totally out of context but please note the following :)

I was assuming "beer" meant just "alcohol" here - but even if you meant specifically beer, I would still pick that over chocolate. Though chocolate can be nice sometimes.

I didn't go off choc when pregnant (rather the opposite, in fact).
