So, this week hasn't been the best ever. This evening, I cycled into town to ring at the Cathedral; the bike started misbehaving as I approached town, but I managed to find somewhere to lock it up (note to Council - if you're going to produce a map with "places to lock your bike" on it, it helps if it's remotely accurate!). Ringing was OK, although shockingly they didn't go to the pub afterwards.
On the way home, the bike got worse-skipping off gears, and generally being almost unridable at anything more than a gentle snail's pace. I couldn't sort it roadside, so limped home. I've just spent half an hour fettling the gears, and I just can't get it sorted - either something's rubbing, or it skips chainrings, and *gah*. So, tomorrow, I have to limp back into town - the nearest bike shop to home seems to be about 2.5 miles away, and hope the bike shop can fix it before I miss an entire day's work :-(

Tenor's gone!
Does the Guild know about this rogue tower?

The local ringers in Hackney (St. Johns) do go to the pub afterwards, but do not drink very much at all. I am very disturbed by this abormal behaviour.
