I've never been terribly keen on assembling flat-pack furniture - the first piece is sort-of fun, and there's a sense of satisfaction in a job well done, but I've spent most of the evening on it, and now even after a shower bits of me hurt, especially hands and back. I've not even done half of the stuff we bought, either :-/ Still, that which has been fully assembled looks good, and once it's all done, we should be able to unpack close to all of our stuff, which will be a big plus.

One final plug for This comments meme, if I may!

And now, to bed.

It all looks splendid. Go you!
(and I'll see what I can do about the bits that hurt when I get back to Coventry ;-) )

I hear that an electric screwdriver makes a big difference.

Hear, hear.

Typically, they retain bits with a clip so you need a magnetic adapter for normal 6mm hex bits, but such an adapter is easily obtained and then you can drive the IKEA standard 4mm Allen bolts with ease.
