You do seem to have had some bad luck regarding accessory armour, yes. I think I'd sell all of your stashed jewelry items except the ring of free action (and, of course, sell the ring of accuracy); I'd probably think about selling the bastard sword as well, and on mages I habitually sold all single-die unbranded ammunition as soon as I got it back to town. (Caveat: It is a long time since I last played Angband or any of its descendants.)
