I've been re-watching Buffy Season 2 recently, to help with organising a readthrough of same. buffyguide.com have a set of useful episode guides, which always include a "references" section, pointing out some of the things referred to in passing (Buffy has always been quite pop-culture-tastic).

"The Dark Age" is a pretty good episode. There's a good bit where Philip Henry is banging on the library door as he tries to escape Eyghon-in-Dierdre, but Buffy is inside exercising to very loud music. She turns off the CD player, Giles exclaims in relief "The rest is silence", and Philip dies outside. Buffyguide.com fails to mention that this is a clear reference to Hamlet's dying words.

*sigh* :)
