Friends of mine who happened to be Jewish were getting excited about bacon salt because apparently it's kosher.

Bacon salt is sooooooo goooooood I don't even have words to describe how delicious it is, I'm just going to sit here and drool on your LJ for a few minutes.

I've not encountered it, but I like the idea. I take it it's still quite a high-in-sodium thing? :-/

The 'natural' version is low in sodium, apparently (also the only one which is gluten free).

I am quite excited by the idea of Bacon Salt, and have been planning to buy some for ages but haven't got round to it yet (though the only one that's gluten free is 'natural', which I suspect might not be very bacon-like).

I hadn't noticed any of them was gluten free. Drat! Now I lose my excuse to avoid even trying to get my head round the concept.

I'm a bit WTF that such a thing exists, but given it does then it's not so strange to want to add it to your lunch.

Why are you adding bacon salt to my lunch?

Oh right, it isn't the same thing as bacon flavour bits.

I like those supposedly-bacon-flavoured soya bits (though not eaten them in years), but bacon salt sounds a bit weird.

So do I. I suspect that bacon salt has a roughly similar effect. I think it might be nice on tomatoes. Or a B(salt)LT sandwich.

Depends on what you have for lunch. ;o)
I've not tried it but I know someone who has (we got him the presentation pack for Christmas, incl. lip balm...) so I might nick some off him.

Still have no clue what it is.

whether it's weird or not would depend what your lunch is.

Oh, cool. I must try that very cautiously.
