If you have a plug adaptor for a US or european socket (ie plug your UK plug into it and it has USA-style or Europe-style pins), you are bound to be able to buy a USA-to-SA or Europe-to-SA adaptor at the airport in SA when you arrive. (And go through two adaptors, I mean.)

Some business-oriented hotels even have a range of different geographical plug sockets in the rooms, especially USA-style sockets.
