There seems to be some confusion over what being "on hut" entails. Basically, in addition to my normal rotation duties, I have to do all the out-of-hours stuff, and have to remain on-site 24hours a day until Friday.

The weekend is different, and could well be more random, but the evening pattern is roughly:

8pm - do late treatments and walk all dog in-patients
8.30ish late rounds, drawing up treatments to be given later, and finish up treatments. Today this went on 'til about 10.30

3am - get up, do 3am checks and treatments. This takes about an hour
7.30am - get up, have breakfast, do morning rounds

The "3am" could be either 12midnight or 6am, depending on which the other people on hut wish to do.

Today, I've also done the RSPCA clinic, and I'm now hoping to be able to go back to bed and get several hours more sleep.

Ick, that all sounds way too busy ;-( I am free most of the weekend and some of the weekday evenings, if you'd like someone to drop round food and supplies, and have car. Let me know what kind of things you'd like, and where/when to find you, and I'll see what I can do.

Aww, thanks. I'll let you know when I have some idea of how well my supplies are going to last :)
