Friday went quite well, really. I got up nice and late, managed to get home OK on the bike, collect the car, and get back to the vet school, in plenty of time for the presentations in the afternoon. Mine was last of the day, and people kept corpsing at the jokes, which was entertaining. I suspect this may make up for the lack of data projector (the AVA tech didn't turn up due to snow). The evening was spent having a nice linguini bol with Sarah, followed by booze and much cribbage. The only downside was an unpleasant encounter with the local teenage louts, who have decided that I wear purple eye-shadow, so must be a woman/transvestite/general evil thing. They were actually being quite dangerous :(
Saturday involved more cards, Compline at Peterhouse, and then the Wake. I stayed until about 2 to play Dopplekopt, but by then the rest of the wake had split into two big groups playing uninteresting games, so I went home to catch some sleep.
Sunday, I got up after very little time in bed for the Afmaelisdagur, which was as fun as ever :)
senji still needs to get round to telling me what his invocation meant...
Then into college for communion (via coffee in town). The flag was flying at half-mast, as a member of college took her own life on thursday. I was rather moved by this; the phrase "there but for the grace of God..." really does apply here.
After lunch, and a shopping trip, I went back to bed for a few hours, and dinner is now well under-way. Methsoc coffee will be here in the evening.
It's really good not to be on hut any more; now I just have to get myself ready for the 4 weeks of surgery rotation (lots of very early starts)...

(no subject)
(*hugs* btw. I'd have visited you at Hut but I only found out on Thursday how the whole arrangement worked, and then there was transport doom).
