Many thanks to people who offered monitor help, particularly dreamingchristi and MoonShadow. I now have dreamingchristi's old 17", which is doing very nicely.

I've just dropped atreic off at the railway station, for her fortnight in Eastern Europe. Left with a bit of a lump in my throat. It sounds like she's going to have a really good time, though. We'll see how long it takes before she weakens and finds a 'net cafe ;-)
