But I didn't see his entry through your friends list. I saw it through the list of one of your friends. So came across the entry though as a friend of friend of friend rather than as him being tbe friend (fiance) of a friend.

It's even more interesting if you use the LJ random user search and look at the connections. You quickly see who the friends whores are who act as the supernodes in the network.

I've been wondering for a while about extracting the complete fiends relation from LJ (probably by asking nicely), and doing some standard network analysis on it. You could use memes as models of disease spread or something :)

Because I started reading your journal (and those of others I knew on LJ) long before I got my own. The main point of getting my own was to have a friends page to make keeping up on people's posts easier (and be able to read F-locked stuff).
