Level 37 isn't high enough to be taking on GWoCs, IMO. Especially not when you've got Teleport Other!

Chalk that up to experience, I guess. When at-depth monsters are all pretty trivial to kill, knowing which OoD ones are worth trying can be tricky. I got it wrong in this case, evidently :(

I think this is yet another case of Angband: the game where you really can die of boredom. That said, the usual way is to dive before you are ready...
