Quite the series finale, that. But I feel a bit cheated . I complained previously about the lack of hazard in Doctor Who, and here we have Clara brought back from the dead (albeit proposing to return to it the long way round). I suspect we've not seen the last of Ashildr, either!
It had lots of good moments, though: the war hero Doctor (who never wanted to be one) finds it to his advantage; the dynamic between Doctor and Clara; the slightly cheeky flashbacks-as-spoilers-as-misdirections; the retro TARDIS; the weeping angels that are dangerous even caught in the Matrix; and the Doctor's realisation that even he's gone too far in trying to get Clara back.
I expect the Christmas Special to be a bit sillier after some of the recent seriousness, but River Song is usually good value, so we shall see!

Judging by the clips, the Christmas Special does look like it will be enjoyably daft, yes.
